Temple Lights

I have wanted to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square for a while, and we finally got the motivation to go. The lights were beautiful, the atmosphere was warming. The weather was FREEZING. We had to park 3 blocks away, which isn't very far. Except when it is 19 degrees. I can't imagine how the pioneers walked for so long in the bitter cold without UGG boots. It was one of those family outtings where once you climb back in the car you are thinking: "was that worth it?" The picture above shows what Reina has been doing for the entire duration of Aarons' school break. Hanging on his leg wanting to be picked up. All photos were taken inside because I couldn't bear to get my camera out in the freezing temps.
Reina and her funny new cheese face. She is wearing an extra fleece we had because her irresponsible mother forgot her 2nd jacket. It is Taryns, but it actually worked like a Snuggie, and kept her pretty warm.

The beautiful temple.

Taryn and Mason.

The kids and I.
Besides the video camera getting dropped, forgetting Reinas' large coat, Reina screaming to be held so much, Reina screaming half the car ride home, and cold temps, we had a great time.
I better end on a positive note because i am such a positive person :). In one of the buildings on Temple Square (horrible mormon that I forgot the name), there was a pair of sister missionaries singing. They had wonderful voices, and harmonized perfectly. I could have sat there all night to listen to them. Surprisingly, all 4 kids only wanted to here a few songs, and were then willing to venture back out into the cold temps.

I am glad that you had a good time. It was pretty cold when we went too but like you said it was soooo worth it. Glad you guys had a good time. Next time maybe we can go together and then do family pictures with the Temple in the background. You know how I love to take pictures. LOL

It was worth it so Grammie could have this cute picture of you and the kids in front of Temple Square!
