Kylie McKay Banks was born at 9:48am on Feb 23rd, 2006. She was exactly 8 wks premature, and had a few health complications. Her lungs collapsed, she had some light bleeding on her brain, and one of her valves to her heart had not fused together as it is supposed to. This was such a trying time for our family. I went into premature labor just 2 days shy of closing and moving into our first house & was lifelighted to Ut from Wy. Thanks to outstanding medical care, support of both of our parents, and a wonderful ward who literally moved for us we got through it. Kylie remained in the NICU at McKay Dee hospital for 6 wks. We were so happy (and terrified) when she came home to join our family. She came home with some oxygen for while she nursed, and 10 LONG months later after many check-ups, her PDA valve finally closed! They are not sure why I went into preterm labor, but now knowing this fireball child of mine, I think she just thought she was ready! We love you Kylie, happy 4th birthday!!!!

So cute! I had no idea she had a rough start! Funny story? I used to work at McKay Dee and was floated more than a few times to the NICU! I could've been there with you, but alas, I got married and moved away! happy bday girl! Katie says Hi!!
